Step back in time with this 1961 photograph of Blighs Hotel in the heart of Sevenoaks, Kent. Located at TN13 1UP, this charming pub once bore the name Blighs Hotel and was a part of the Charrington and Company Limited's esteemed roster. The image showcases the side profile of the building, its red brick facade adorned with white trim, and the inviting, arched entrance inviting passersby for a pint. The lush, green foliage surrounding the pub adds to its picturesque appeal, further emphasizing the idyllic setting of this quintessential British watering hole. As of July 2018, the pub has undergone a transformation, now known as the Oak Tavern & Tap House with an in-house brewery. Though the name and appearance have changed, the spirit of this historic pub remains, continuing to serve the community of Sevenoaks and beyond. This photograph, taken in the 1960s, offers a glimpse into the past, providing a window into a bygone era of public houses and the rich history of the brewing industry in Kent.
