The image transports us back in time to the 1950s, with the pub's classic brick facade, adorned with ornate signage, and the distinctive Coronation emblem of the Charrington & Co. Limited. The Hand In Hand, a cherished local establishment, was in operation from at least 1938, as evidenced by the trading record detailed on the reverse of this print. The pub, a beloved watering hole for generations, stood its ground until 1951 when it was demolished and replaced with a new building. This photograph offers a glimpse into London's rich pub history, showcasing the charm and character of a bygone era.
